In a report released last week, India emerged as the top nation in a fintech study of nine South Asian and Southeast Asian countries published by the Robocash Group. India also emerged as the leading county in Robocash Southeast Asia Fintech Index. The Index aggregates scores using the following measurements – share of total funding, share of total revenue, and share of total active companies. Singapore was second and Indonesia came in third.

Yale Law School Expands Full-Tuition Scholarships for Students


Yale Law School announced that it will expand its groundbreaking Hurst Horizon Scholarship Program, ensuring that more students with significant financial needs will be able to attend the law school tuition free. The need-based aid program covers the cost of tuition, fees, and health insurance for students who qualify — a scholarship of more than $70,000 per year.


 

Seven advance as semifinalists for Dept. of Defense SMART Scholarships


Seven University of North Dakota students have been selected as semifinalists in the U.S. Department of Defense’s SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program. And that might just be a record, according to UND’s Academic Support and Fellowship Opportunities Coordinator Yee Han Chu. “The number of students applying for the DoD SMART this year is exceptionally high,” Chu said. “I usually don’t work with so many students for a singular scholarship, and they all advanced to the semifinals. This is so exciting!”


 

Brown to provide full Pre-College scholarships to all admitted Providence public school students


As part of its deepening commitment to supporting educational opportunities for students in its home city, Brown University is providing full scholarships to every Providence Public School District student who is admitted to the University’s summer Pre-College Programs. The new scholarships for all admitted PPSD students eliminate all considerations of a family’s financial circumstances.
