21st Century soft skills Development

Education is not limited to books and academics; it goes way beyond that. Holistic education aims at not only helping you excel in curriculums but also in life.

With a similar motive at our core, we are ecstatic about introducing our first-ever curriculum developed exclusively for the students of Agrawal PG College, Jaipur – one of the largest institutes imparting remarkable education at various levels in the latest emerging areas of knowledge.

With a common aim of holistic personality development alongside strong academics, the two institutes have developed a "21st Century Soft Skills" curriculum that prepares students for life after college. The curriculum is divided into 3 broad categories – Personal Development, Professional Development, and Ethical Development.

‘Personal Development’, forming the base of our curriculum, aims to help students establish themselves as human brands in the competitive market. With tools like personal brand auditing, personal brand clouds, personal brand posters, personality SWOT, elevator pitch, emotional intelligence, active listening skills, improv skills, etc., in place, we ensure a 360-degree comprehension, understanding, and development of a student's personality to position them in the market with a deep sense of self.

Taking it from Personal Development, we aim at a student's readiness to step into the job market and make the most of the opportunities they're offered. The next module of our curriculum delves into a student's Professional Development. Professional Development is instrumental in enabling career progression and empowering individuals to truly realize their potential in their current and future roles and strive forward with their best foot.

With the motive of helping students make the most of the placement opportunities, we believe in imparting knowledge about industry trends, recruiters' expectations, and realistic expectations of the job market that works as a heads-up for them. Therefore, the ‘Professional Development’ module of our curriculum revolves around skill sets that the students would require once they graduate from college – professional presentations, active listening, professional communication, crisis management, interview skills, resume building, LinkedIn profile development, portfolio development, management, etc.

Mere academic education may build valuable technical skills but not humanity. We believe in the concept of value education that educates not only the mind but also morals. Holistic education at The Headmaster means imparting moral values that produce integrity, virtue, and character, making a person capable of decision-making in tune with the values, culture, morals, compassion, ethics, and needs of society.

Keeping in mind the words of Aristotle that educating humans goes much beyond the cognitive aspect of learning, we have curated the ‘Ethical Development’ module of our curriculum. The module goes beyond personal and professional development and addresses ethical queries and dilemmas that one might face at different stages of life, irrespective of industries and professions.

Preparing students for life after college, some critical questions they will face are "Who am I?' "What defines my choices?", "Who am I supposed to be?" etc. The "Ethical Development" module addresses students' individuality, with their core values at the root.

To ensure that the students have access to the best resources, we call in industry experts, pioneers in their fields, and established business people to walk them through their learning and experiences, backing our curriculum with relevant practical knowledge.

We hope the curriculum will help students better grasp opportunities and place themselves higher in the job markets.
