IU Bloomington a top-performing institution for federal scholarships in critical languages

Eleven Indiana University Bloomington undergraduate students were awarded David L. Boren Scholarships by the Institute of International Education on behalf of the National Security Education Program, a record number in IU’s history. These students will study in Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Jordan and Taiwan, as well as at the Defense Language Learning Institute in Monterey, California, during the 2023-24 academic year.


 

Darke County Foundation awards scholarships

The Darke County Foundation awarded $190,000 in scholarships to 73 area graduates from the class of 2023. Scholarship money comes from funds the Foundation establishes through donations from individuals, businesses and charitable organizations. Invested long-term, these funds generate a continuing source of income and maintain lasting legacies for years to come. Donors often honor family members or a special purpose by setting up funds with personalized names. As a community foundation since 1987, the Darke County Foundation has awarded over $4.5 million in scholarships and community grants to local non-profit organizations.


 

ANU and UWA launch a revolution in science education

Two national teaching programs will "revolutionize" science education in Australian schools and generate the next generation of Aussie Einsteins, quantum gurus, and our future science and technology workforce. The national launch of the Quantum Girls and Einstein-First programs is being led by two Prime Minister's Prize for Science winners, Distinguished Professor Susan Scott from The Australian National University (ANU) and Emeritus Professor David Blair from The University of Western Australia (UWA).


The two programs will bring primary and high school science education into the 21st century and help reverse Australia's critical skills shortage in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), especially among young girls.

An overwhelming majority of graduates are mostly aware of only seven career options, while there are at least over 250 career paths awaiting students. University of Strathclyde invites applications for Dean’s International Excellence Award 2023-24, apply before July 3

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is inviting applications for scholarships worth £3,500. This scholarship is open for all new international students who will begin a full-time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in September 2023.


The award is a £3,500 scholarship per year for the duration of their degree. All offer-holders are eligible for this scholarship. Interested students can apply at the official website of the varsity — strath.ac.uk. Students have time till July 3 to apply for this scholarship.

The US remains the most-preferred destination for Indian students pursuing higher education abroad for its world-class universities, diverse study programs, and opportunities for research, internships, and job placements.
