Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

The University of Toronto is Canada's largest university, recognized as a global leader in research and teaching. The University of Toronto is home to distinguished faculty, institutional records, scholarships, and a wealth of innovative academic opportunities that attract students and academics from around the world.

About the Scholarship

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship at the University of Toronto provides an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students. The scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and are recognized as their schools' leaders. In addition, a particular emphasis is placed on the student's impact on their community and school and their future potential to positively contribute to the global community.

These scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding students worldwide, including international students in Canadian high schools. The scholarship covers four years of tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support. However, the scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry undergraduate programs. Approximately 37 students are named Lester B. Pearson Scholars annually.

To become a Pearson Scholar, you must be nominated by your school and apply to an undergraduate course at the University of Toronto. Once you've been nominated and have applied to the university, you will be sent a personalized, secure link to the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship application.
