The University of Alberta, or U of A or UAlberta, is a public research university in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1908 by Alexander Cameron Rutherford.

Underground Tunnel System
The University of Alberta has an underground tunnel system that spans 14km. According to a 1995 campus publication, the tunnels underground at the University of Alberta's main campus are so wide that staff can drive a small motorcycle through them! The tunnels have never opened to the public, nor the student, though, at least not known to the university.
University of Alberta Botanic Garden
The University of Alberta Botanic Garden (formerly the Devonian Botanic Garden) is a stunning 240-acre property located 15 minutes southwest of Edmonton, with cultivated gardens and plant collections, indoor showhouses, and extensive natural areas. The Garden is an award-winning visitor attraction and research site home to year-round adult and children's education programming.
